Checking throttle butterfly

Can anyone tell me if the throttle butterfly should open fully without the engine running (Key in MAR and accelerator fully pressed)? I tried this and find I only get about 5 degree movement when I was expecting fully open.

Not sure on this - haven't got a sele handy to check, but as its fly-by-wire its certainly possible that the computer senses that the engine isn't running and limits throttle opening to prevent you starting it with the butterfly wide open - risking damage to the engine as it fires.....
