Had the radiator changed on my GT (2.0 JTS) along with the bumper following a minor prang
Car was fine for 3-4 weeks or so, no overheating, no losing oil, no misbehaving at all, until about a week back, she starts misfiring slightly for a minute or so before the engine warms up and it clears.
After the second morning of misfiring when cold, I notice that nigh on all of the coolant has vanished. I go to top her up and upon removing the cap, all the coolant came back again... no misfire the following morning and no overheating still but, with the 42k sevice due anyhow, got her booked in for a checkup.
On the way over to the garage she starts getting rather warm but never touches the red zone, garage clears out a fairly huge air block, services her and says the misfire is still there but its not plugs or coils and they need longer to track it down, so book her in again and they'll do some digging.
Drive her home, sweet as a nut, pull onto the drive and go for a mooch under the bonnet, the coolant had gone from being smack in the middle of the marks to being about 1/2" over the max by the time I'd gotten home.
Next morning, start her up, misfiring like mad and go to look at the levels and watch her drink literally the whole tank full of coolant in less than a minute. Misfire clears up and she starts running beautifully. Go to top her up and all the coolant as soon as the cap comes off comes back apart from mebbe 1/4" worth in the tank.
Now shes misfiring like crazy and throwing MCSF warnings until shes warm after which she runs a little rough.
After that rather long winded backstory, any thoughts/lines of investigation before i go down the head gasket route?? I have a feeling this is going to be another expensive one....
