Could be anything, Turismo is the trim level not the engine spec.

If it is just a JTD it will be 8V 5 speed and 115 BHP, that is what mine started its life as, but I am now running 180 BHP from the same car

Sadly there are so many permutations available during that year!!
You could have a JTDm with 16 valves, 6 speed gearbox and 150 bhp or JTD with 8 valves 5 gears and 115bhp phase 1 or 2 with either engine. Luckily both engine have lots of torque, approaching a 147 gta by the way admittedly not the same top speed but both engines are tunable. The latest 16 valver in the Ducati Corse version does 170 bhp from the factory so 200bhp cant be too far away??

There were six different 1.9 Diesels in the 147:
100bhp & 115bhp 8v JTD
140bhp & 126bhp 16v JTD
150bhp & 170bhp 16v JTDm

The only thing you can be sure of is that a Turismo won't have the 170bhp 16v.

380 Lb ft torque, straight through custom exhaust, custom intake, remapped running 2 intercoolers.

No manage to dial most of it out with a day on the rolling road, could not be bothered to front mount intercooler so got 2 in the front wing with custom made fan to draw air in and over them.

147 JTDM 1.9 8v

I have just bought a 147 JTDM 1.9 but I am thinking it is an 8v and not a 16v, how exactly can one tell from looking at the engine. Would I be right in saying they did an 8v JTDM 120BHP?

What is the first upgrade to enhance performance?
Thanks,
Wayne

8V or 16V

OK will do within the hour. It is all original and has a JTDM badge on the boot, but when buying it, autotrader spec suggested it had 120BHP, 8Valve.

I will report back with a photo of the engine for 100% id, unless I can clearly see the two cams!

Thanks,
Wayne

Just checked.
8v Facelift CF4 spec were 120hp.

The data I quoted from myself above was originally in reply to a 2004 car and I didn't look at later data...

Excellent thanks Dave, I am sure it is a 120bhp 8v, any advice on best value for money to squeeze some more bop out of it?
Thanks
Wayne
