Sometimes I need to reinstert CD 2-3 times so that the unit recognizes it but as my player skips also on original audio CDs and has probelms to read them I guess its more a problem of dirty optics of my unit (or stiff suspension of my car as the CDs jump too much
Anyway, Connect NAV+ navigation features come from the last century and the cheapers portable navigation today does a better job. Sometimes I play with Alfa system in the garage, but in the end what I really use is iGO8 on my PDA.
