No start, immobiliser failure.

My 147 gta is used on occaision and has had over the last few days an annoying immobiliser problem. I have tried a new battery to no avail and have shunted the fuses on top of the battery to rule them out. Car starts after about 10 mins of faffing about disconnecting the battery. Any ideas are welcome. I need to re patriate my car from the isle of Wight tomorrow and need to start it on the button or face a long push up a 10% slope from the ferry! I have been told re-seating the plugs on the immobiliser unit could do the trick, but alas I cannot locate it. Thank you in advance ( from my wife).

(What Would Jesus Drive?)

Are we nearly there yet?
