Common problem, I think there's a thread called 'paint stripping wipers' where this was discussed before.
A number of marques suffer similar issues, they're designed with the wipers the other way round for LHD cars. Manufacturers then, with as little redesign as possible to cut down on manufacturing costs, fit the assembly to RHD cars.
I had exactly the same issue, removed the arms and trim to get at the linkage and delicately tweaked/levered/bent the linkage so it sits lower, there's now a generous gap between arm and bonnet. I didn't bother replacing the arm, I happened to have a can of spay that was a very good match. One of my daughters kindly donated some black nail varnish to touch up the edge of the bonnet.
You could chance your arm with an Alfa dealer, see if they'll contribute. I bought mine at 2 years old, took it in after owning in just under a year for it's first MOT, there were a couple I things I thought I might get done under warranty (wipers being one of them), only to discover the car was an import and they wouldn't honour the 3rd year of warranty. Alfa's warranty is only 2 years, in the UK Alfa dealers link up through some sort of insurance scheme to offer the 3rd year. Oooh that cheesed me off.
All the best
