1.9 JTDm - fast ticking noise on acceleration
Car was fully serviced by dealer over a week ago - except for fuel filter which wasn't in stock at the time.
Collected car last night after having fuel filter replaced and OSF wheel bearing & flange along with clutch pedal master cylinder replaced under warranty.
First thing I noticed driving home was a pronounced fast ticking noise from the engine on acceleration. Heard it again this morning and returning home. Silent on idle but very definate sowing machine sound coming from the engine on acceleration right up through the power band - again silent when not accelerating (freewheeling).
Never had this before the above work was done so my question is this. Any ideas on what this could be given the recent work done to the car? Do you think a technician has exceeded his remit and tightened something he shouldn't have.....belts etc.?
Oh and eh the car is 2 1/2 years old with 32,000 on the clock.
Cheers guys and any thoughts appreciated.
