Hi guys. Carried out the much vaunted clutch lube, as per the excellent instructions in this thread. All went according to plan, however on re-assembling, the clutch pedal, is pretty much non operational for the first 50% of travel, then stiffens up considerably as it approaches the floor.
Clutch bite is now nearly on the floor. All works ok, but you really have to bury your foot into the carpet to change gear, and it all feels a bit stiff still. Slave cylinder appeared in good condition, no leaks or obvious signs of damage. I did notice that the master cylinder reservoir was extremely full after doing the job, virtually on the underside of the cap. Didn't check it before I started, so not sure if it is now different.
Any thoughts on what or why this might have happened? Despite the stiffness, it was working fine before, and the bite was in the normal position.
