So as it happens, the Selespeed has attacked.
I've noticed I've developed a 'leak' for want of a better word. I first noticed just on returning from a day out that the Selespeed was skipping to 2nd instead of 1st. I naturally assumed the Selespeed oil was low, and on inspection, it was. I topped it up, went to work the next day and all was good. I drove home, all good, parked up and noticed the next morning that there was a large puddle on the garage floor. I popped some newspaper down, monitored it and noticed that it seemed to be dropping significantly more than a drop or two. After a few drives, it had essentially gone through the whole reservoir. I then decided to give the engine bay a thorough washdown with a high pressure cleaner to try and find the source of the leak. I primed the system and there was nothing. Started and nothing. Left it for two nights and still perfectly good. I then drove to work, drove home, parked and within 5min it was dropping fluid. I inspected it again and can't figure out. There's no apparent leak in any of the hoses, no apparent leak from the accumulator, the only place I can narrow it down is from the backside of the actuator, but because I physically can't see it, don't know where. Oddly the car drives fine in the morning, but in the afternoon near the end of my 20min trip it starts developing issues.
So, the question, does anybody know where the issue could lie?
I'd prefer to try and diagnose it at home and see what can be down myself, before spending too much money at the mechanics for them to do the same. I did do a trawl of existing threads, but can't seem to find anything with similar symptoms. Ideas and suggestions welcome.
