Alfa Romeo 156 Relay loom

Having just tried to replace my relay /fan/ A/C loom. I see that on closer inspection that although the wires at the large connector block appear to be a different connector plug to the main loom with only ten wires eminating from it
Now Got a second loom which has eleven wires leading from the main connector block. Which now seems similar to the original loom . The wires seem to all go to the same places in the relay, some of the wiring seems to be of a different colour scheme. But the car now only winds but will not start. Neighbour came past and said it could have triggered the immobiliser , I wasn't aware it had one... Does disconnecting the arterial loom mean that it triggers the immobiliser?
