take off the door panel to get at the plastic 'finisher' the knob slides up and down in (i know,i know
) (ie little moulde bit that makes it look nice rather than a hole) remove it (you may be able to do this withour taking off door panel (but may break, and see below too) and stick some nice (thin) felt on the inside!
But note that it may be the connecting metal rods that are rattling when in the down position (was on mine - bass from speakers did it) in which case felt them!
My car has lots of sticky felt
Oh and trust me, where i work we make car interiors, and it doesn't matter if its the jag X type dash, an Aston cluster, a fiesta or a renault traffic van, if there a rattle ('Tizz' to give correct term) found (due to crap tooling tolerances usually), it will be fixed with a bit of sticky felt or similar
Now I wonder where I got my felt and rubber blocks etc from - errmmmm....
And no I cant supply any! Try your local hardware store for some sticky fablon felt - or habidashery store - dealer may even have something listed for wrapping wiring looms?
Hold the rear end slide....don't run wide!
