Well... Its done!!!
And actually, it wasnt as difficult as I expected.
A bit like a big jigsaw really. For anyone who is interested, I dont mind jotting down a step by step guide. There were no special tools required (aside from a breaker bar for the hub nut.. and a hefty extension bar...!), and the whole thing was done in about 5 hours total.
Interestingly though, all 6 nuts which attach the driveshaft to the bit that goes in the diff (not sure of the name, but its the flange thing with a spline on the end) were loose, as were the ones on the other side. Looks like whoever had the car before me must have changed them, and never bothered to crank them tight... Pretty annoying really, but I guess thats how it goes sometimes.
Anyway... Ghostydog... If its the O/S that has gone on yours, the chap who I bought my D/S off still has the O/S in stock. Let me know if you want his details.
