Spectacular offer or fraud?

Hello guys,

Recently I've found such offer in our local (Slovak) add site - 04.2009 Alfa Romeo Alfa 147 1.6 TS 16V 120 Quadrifoglio - Medzilaborce, predám . First strange think about it is that he speaks only english. Second - he's offering a very nice car for 1/3 of ussual price. Third - although claiming to be from UK the steering wheel is on "continental" side.

I've contacted the seller and he says that the car is already registered in Germany while it will be shipped by this company to my door - Choose your language . Do you have any experience with them in UK? I saw they're in default!

He wrote that the shipping company might ask for some money in advance. It seems to me like a phishing or fraud. What do you think?

people get caught out because they hope they have just been lucky and make stupid mistakes!

Heard of similar story this summer while on vacation in Portugal.
You pay and never see the car or money again.

It's fraud. The shipping scam has been done many times.

Thanks! Thought myself it's a fake ad. I'll inform administrator of the website to ban it.

Why would the shipping company ask you for funds, your business is with the vendor not the shipping company.
That would be like selling something on ebay, then royal mail asking you to cough up, Wide berth required here.
There was a R/rover sport supercharged on Ebay last year for £9000 with 33,000 on the clock, I contacted the seller explaining what line of business I was in and that the fee required was closer to the mileage on the motor, I also said if he didn't remove the item I was going to inform the police, Now this guy should of told me where to go, but item was removed within the hour.......

This is a common scam, steer clear, you will never see your car because they dont have it. If you HPI the car it will show as clear because its not stolen but its also not theirs.
