Well, Timpsons claim they can cut a new blade & programme a new immobiliser transponder for £75. I'm thinking about assembling a new key with these parts & a used red fob/alarm remote. The question is can an old alarm remote be programmed to a different car, by who & for how much?
Clearly, paying the dealer to do this is the easy option, but at these prices? The point here is that I'm happy to make up the key, but need advice on viability for this particular vehicle.
If any owners have had any success with this, I would certainly appreciate some tips if I can save £200. Cheers.
