Thumbs Up 156 v6 alternator

thanks all for your help with my alternator
just a post to inform you of my findings when doing this job
to remove this alt is a very big job but when mine was removed i repaired it in 10 minutes
the carbon brushes at the rear of the alt were seized in there carrier spray with loose oil wd40 push the carbon pins in and out till they are moving free then replace easy.
the really good news is i think with a little work remove oil filter and make as much space as possible you can take the wiring and plastic cover off then remove the brushes and repair them or replace them part number will be on the brush holder please remember to remove battery - terminal before starting this job . this repair saved me over 200.
regards d.s.
