156 differential/gearbox

My 156 has recently started making a noticeable drone on slowing down. Apparent from about 40 down to 10mph. Sounds to me like differential. Makes the same noise either in key or neutral. Quite intrusive. Car is a 20o with 43k on the clock. Any ideas appreciated.

Re: 156 differential/gearbox

I keep posting this, but 156's can be very suseptable to Tyre Roar, when the fronts are low. I had my Wheel bearings changed under Warrenty for a noise like this. It didn't help. Changed the Tyres.....Perfect.
