My Parrot CK3100 had been on top of the dashboard, attached to the centre vent pod.
This was ok, but meant that I had to reach over to it to actually use it - kinda defeats the object eh? The microphone was dangling from the interior lights, and was quite unsightly and very unprofessional (yeh, I fitted it in the first place!
So, upon opening the ashtray to rid it of all those coppers that have accumulated over time, I noticed that the aperture is approximately the same size as the Parrot.
So, I ripped out the ashtray, dismantled it and the Parrot and set about the move.
Here is the result:
I also moved the microphone by cutting a small hole in the roof lining and pushing it through - it's a nice solid snug fit. I'm quite impressed - usually if I do something like this, all I end up with is a mess!
(Didn't realise how dirty my roof lining looked until I uploaded the photo!
