GT - Black Smoke when cruising on motorway
I own a Alfa GT 1.9 JTD and i love the car!
One problem i have though is that when i'm cruising on the motorway (at approx 120kmh), there seems to be a build up of black spoke in the engine. The only way to get rid of this is to come to a standstill, and then when pulling away in the low gears, give it a good blast. The amount of black smoke that comes out is incredible! I pity the drivers behind me - never mind the environment!!
This build up of cr@p also causes the Motor Control System light to come on, but this doesn't really bother me as if i pull in and stop & start the engine, i get full power back and the light will go off withing 24 hours.
Has anybody else experienced this? Any advise would be very welcome!
