Help Tyre Replacement Time

My 156 1.8 1998 came with standard suspension and 15" steel wheels shod with Firestone Firehawk 700 185/65 sr tyres . Then, changed to 15" Alloy wheels ( 8 hole not Veloce type). These came with Pirrelli P6000 205/60 15" tyres. The same spec as 2.0ts/2.5 v6.

Time to change tyres and I`m going back to the original size. the marginally wider tyres I think did the handling much good . Less precise steering .

Anyone else go from 1.8 to 2.0 size feel this and what is a good tyre choice for the 185/65 profiles. The Fiestones I had were fine, but I think there out of production now ?

Re: Tyre Replacement Time

I had the Firehawks on my last 156 and found them excellent. If they are out of production have they not been replaced with another similar "model"?
