Help 156 engine confusion

just recently bought an alfa 156 2.0 tspark but when entering the reg in car checker it comes back as a 2.0 litre V6 yet in the owners manual there is nothing mentioned of this engine spec and i'm struggling to find anything online. Is there a mistake here or is it a V6?

I would suggest next time, do the car checker BEFORE you buy the car.

What did it say on the V5 reg document.
Find out and make sure your insurance is right.
They would love for you to get nowt if you claimed. for a twinny and it had a V6 lump.

The V6 2.0 was a 155 specialty, doubt there's one in your 156, just a DVLA typo I bet.

Never built in the 155, but people have done conversions.
It was however built in the GTV/Spider, 164 and 166 and much older Alfa before that without the turbo.
