Last week, whilst on holiday, The clutch pedal disappeared on my 156. The pedal was traveling to the bottom and springing back but I couldn't get any gears and the clutch wasn't disengaging at all. After bleeding, it went back to normal but today the same thing has happened again. I'm hopeful that bleeding will get the pedal back but clearly there is something wrong.
It isn't using any fluid at all but the pedal just goes to the floor. I'm thinking master cylinder but am open to suggestions.
After a few miles of running around the clutch still feels perfect. On previous cars with iffy cylinders they have had a tendancy to feel a bit off and leak fluid in copios qunatities but it still hasn't used a drop.
It strikes me that it could be something draft like a leaky hose drawing in air and leaking a small amount somewhere I haven't been looking.
Question is, is there a single hose from the master cyl at the pedal to the slave at the gearbox?
