Your Drivers door catch/lock, when you shut your door, it strikes the plate (more like a bar that is bolted to the 'B' pillar...in simpler terms....if you are sat in the drivers seat, look behind your right elbow, you will see it is bolted to the pillar by two allen head bolts, has two bars on it!)
You will notice it has some lines on the pillar (horizontal & vertical) these match up with some scribed marks on the plate! (these are stamped from the factory just to get an approx' location of the striker plate)
Just undo the two allen head bolts and move the plate (ever so slightly) towards the inside of vehicle, tighten bolts and shut your door in the normal way!
As long as the door shuts fine, then this will pull the door tighter towards the door seals.
..You can play around with the plate, bringing the door tighter into its opening.
..always adjust very little at a time!!!!!
NB, be aware of the shut lines, you dont want your door appearing out of line with the surrounding bodywork and the door shouldn't have to be slammed for it to be fully closed.
