Would you walk away from this 147?
Viewed a 147 2.0TS today. It was a tidy example with FSH, nice and clean. But when I checked the dip stick it was dry - not a drop of oil.
I mentioned it to the salesman who pointed out it was parked on a slope (which it was, but no more than 15 - 20 degrees sloping from front to back). He ran the car to the workshop at the back and they topped up the oil.
The car drove very well with no odd noises or rattles anywhere. Engine seemed quiet at tickover although there was sufficient vibration to visibly shake the air inlet hose/MAF.
I know these engines use oil, and before I'd even spotted the low oil the salesman commented that it hadn't been in to the workshop since coming in as a p/ex. Is this sufficient to walk away and is the engine vibration normal?
