tips for buying a 156

hi there, thinking about getting an alfa 156 1.8 lusso after spending too much time with a vectra! used to own a 155, worst thing i ever did selling it! anyway i was wondering if there was anything i should look for, the car i have in mind is in stunning condition,2001 `X` regd, 1.8 lusso, it has a squeal from the back brakes but im assured will be sorted, anything else i should look out for?
thanks, gaz.

Re: tips for buying a 156

Check and see the timing belts have been done. Service schedule says 72k but this is risky, with most preferring to do it at 36k or there abouts.
Also check for any squeaks from the suspension as worn bushes are common....and most of all enjoy it!
