Sorry can't help much. BUT
I would suggest not removing injectors to see spray pattern, as you might be aware that common rails run at very high pressures.
Do the injectors you replaced have the correct bosch number?
What issues made you change/ modify the mentioned components?
I made sure I got the right bosch numbers.
I have checked my cams, and there is some new ware on the cams where they shouldn't be, but the clearance is still good, even if numbers 4 and 5 are sounding a bit different.
I have put it down to the injectors not working properly.
This is after being reminded by Angel Tuning to do a ECU reset
And thanks to Alfaman for reminding the easiest way to tell if a cylinder is firing is to check the exhaust temp. I have 2 exhaust ports on the manifold significantly cooler than the others, so back all the injectors go to Birmingham.
That is unless someone comes up with a miracle notion. And if I did the valves the right way round: inlet, Exhaust, all the way across, and it doesn't change (did look at inlet manifold and exhaust manifold to check)
The reason I started this was after a failed attempt of using a so called reptualble alfa mechanics shop, I found that they hadn't done hald the work I had asked them too, even though they said they had. And now I am almost bankrupt, with a car that I have to try and fix their undone jobs, with no money and half the support of a workshop :-(
I prime example would be a 0.4 inlet clearance next to a 0.42 exhaust, when they were meant to have checked them, and I can bring up a huge list.
Sorry for rant, the reason was, I had lost a 100miles per tank, the engine started to sound like a tractor, no smoke and passed emissions, very juddery, and had done everything else to it now :-(
Still welcoming any more help or ideas, I am worried about the new marks on the cams, which are not on the bottom of the cam, but slightly passed BDC on the cams.
