Looking at switching from 1.8 156 to 2.4 JTD

As per the topic, firstly I want to stay with Alfa, forever then I want a bit more MPG than my old 1.8 twinny coughs out but without losing the fun of it.

Some suggested the 2.4 JTD, is there a lower sized engine? does that reduce the performance a lot? what would the impact of going to a 2.4 be on insurance (I'm paying about 400 a year at the moment )

Oh, and I love the facelift version, the old grill is great but I gotta say I prefer the newer one

facelift or not can depend on budget a little, they do ask quite a bit more money for the full facelift.

however, i can vouch wholeheartedly for the 2.4JTD, they're great!

BUT, i am biased, and do have my own stonker for sale any time now, pm me for details.

what i can say, is that now that i own the smaller 1.9jtd, allbeit a 16v Multi, its very good, but doesn't yet have the sparkle that the 2.4 has, and the 5 cylinder layout of the 2.4 is far more refined to drive.
