Hello! I'm new. After some help from some REAL people, not books and high street Grease-Hippos!
My 156 Lussos suspension sounds like pennies in a biscuit tin when I hit a speed bump. The noises vary from a creaking noise when I go over a full sized 'Sleeping police man', Kinda like an old door opening really slowly, To a full knocking noise when I hit those terribly annoying half-assed speed bumps that allow fire-engines to pass at speed. In general, It sounds awful and in no way a selling state.
My previous mota was a E39 Bimmer 5-series and a similar noise was present leading to a new shock absorber. Is this ganna be the same because they are bloody expensive!
Ive got myself some Front vertical/drop links that I will fit on the soonish but i doubt this will fix it. I guess my main question is, how much labour SHOULD a typical mechanic charge to change my front shocks? I'm pretty sure I can get a good pair from Ebay so how much in Labour?
