Re: 156 central locking failure
Does it simply not work, or does it try to lock and then unlock itself. If it tries to lock and then unlocks it may be similar to a prob I had on a Marea a while back where these symptoms were caused by a faulty connection to the actuator inside the front passenger door. One of the connector pins had been bent on assembly and pushed out of its location when the connector was assembled, making ony an intermittant connection.
I think the central locking worked ok from the passenger door, but not from the drivers. When I was inside the car I noticed that the locking button on the faulty door was not moving in unison with the other three.
