SOLVED: Ticking sound after cambelt change.
Please help me, as Iīm out of ideas.
I changed the cambelt on my 147 2.0ts and used both camlocks and TDC dial.
After having checked everything over twice, I started the car, and it fired up right away.
BUT, there is a ticking sound which I didnīt have before, so I took the rocker cover of again and fitted the TDC dial.
Sure enough when at TDC, both camlocks fit perfectly on intake cyl2 and exhaust cyl3.
I checked the camlocks before taking of the old belt to make sure they where the correct ones.
I also didnīt mess with the pulleys on the camshafts as I didnīt change the variator.
The only thing I can think of is either the variator or one of the hydrolic valve tensioners.
