Hmmm That dreaded MCSF

I've looked at a few of the other threads relating to the MCSF and can't decide what the issue is with mine. It first came on as I opened her up on the dual carriageway, disappeared after 3 starts (which suggested the fault had gone according to another poster) and some sedate 40-50mph driving in between. All was well then until this morning when I pulled out to overtake a slower car and up it popped again.

Performance seems to be fine (I've not pushed it after the light came on so can't be 100% certain on that except this morning when overtaking) and there are no other obvious signs in terms of smoke/noise etc. Anything I should be looking for or places to check? I did have it booked in to a reputable independent in the morning but I'm thinking that if it's not really going to be a major fault (but one that needs sorting) I might look to get back down to Gus the week after next instead (I'm supposed to be away tonight and all next week and was going to cancel if it was potentially terminal...)

I knew my general ownership had been too plain-sailing so far!
