Re: TPIACE's New Look
Yes A those r the GTA wheels, and r a 17x7.5" wheel. I have fitted 215/45 size tyres which r lower profile than the 147/156GTA's use (225/45). I dont have any problems with the low profile tyres, no speedo misalignment, no tramllining, just the usual firmer ride which comes with larger wheels etc. I have changed the springs and shocks too, so it rides very well with the 17s.
My old wheels were the 17" selespeeds which were a 17x7" again on 215/45 tyres. The only problem i get now with wider wheels is a slight rubbing of the inside of the tyre on the carpet material inside the rear guards when ive got 2 mates in the back, and drive over progressive dips in the roads. Sudden bumps doesnt cause ne rubbing.
Splash thanks for the warning dude, but i prefer to use microfibre clothes on the body. If uve been driving the car a few days and have a bit of dust on the paint and dont have the time to wash it, meguiars quick detailer and a microfibre clothe brings up the paint very well.
