Gt Jtdm spluttering

I've had the Gt for just over 3 months now and I love it!!
Even though I've serviced it, changed both door check straps, anti roll link, repaired the handbrake cable clip and replaced the EGR valve. I still love it, there is however one niggle that is beginning to get to me.
When cruising at around 2000RPM in any gear (like following traffic) the car seems to mis-fire, it only happens now and again but seems to be getting more frequent. I can hear the turbo chatter and spool up when it happens, the rest of the rev range is fine and it pulls like a train up to 4100rpm and idles fine.

Does anyone else have the same problem and how did you fix it?
I have a friend who works at Vauxhall who mentioned that it could be the EGR valve so he got me one off of a Astra CDTI which was identical, i also cleaned the throttle body whilst changing the valve but its still the same!
could it need a ECU reset?
or Maf sensor?
HELP PLEASE I'm going mad!!!

I want a Alfa Gt and I want one now!!

I'd say MAF is a good direction to go in to be honest. There is a flat spot in the alfa map which people have mentioned before. Mine used to haev it untill I got an autodelta remap but it was more like a loss of power for a 100th of a second and then it carried on. Was around 1750 rpm too rather than 2000

Mine's always done the same thing very briefly around the 2000rpm mark too. Only happens when 'pottering along', presumed it was just something with the default mapping. No error codes thrown up by diagnosic software. Be interested to hear other thoughts.
