Re: Wet weather braking.
Oft discussed, this one.
I was so appalled by the fade and lack of response on the standard brakes that I went for stainless braided hoses (to help with heat dispersal and prevent bulging of the hoses under repeated heavy, hot use) and ferrodos. DS2500s on the front and DS Performance (the old DS2000) on the rear. Total transformation in the braking.
The DS2500s are quite dusty though and as a result will start to squeal after a couple of thou, prompting me to remove them, get busy with the brake cleaner and recoat the back of the pads with copperslip. No such problems with the DSPs on the rear.
I should add that I have a far from lightweight 2.4JTD Sportwagon, so going straight on at corners was a serious risk!
