Rocker/cam cover gasket???
Have got oil leak since cambelt was done. Mechanic said it was rocker cover and i have left it for a bit, but i have been doing my research. Read many tutorials and understand whats to be done. So, eagerly tonight i found a small torx kit i had and delved in, took the cover off, removed the coil pack/plugs bracket and had a look. (i was quite please with myself at this point as it all seemed relatively easy and i hadnt been in this far before) So, i an going to do the job this weekend... but i have a few questions i could do with some help on....
1. Alot of people mention a torque wrench. is this a must? (they seem expensive)
2. what can i use to clean up where all the oil has leaked, and for the surface under the gasket?
3. Sealant is mentioned to be used under the new gasket, what sealant is this is?
4. Last one... any pit fall that need to be watched out for??
Any help appreciated as always, i haven't been let down yet. (Successful hand brake cable replacement to pass MOT with advice from here)
