Good idea or just stupid?!
I've always been a big fan of the GT, but picked up a 1.6 Mito diesel last year after a tough choice between a new model and a slightly dated car (GT 1.9 QV for reference).
However, something still niggles and keeps whispering "GT" to me, more worryingly followed by "V6"!
After looking at a few cars and getting some insurance quotes I'm amazed to find that the difference in insurance is about £100 which makes the diesel seem expensive for what it is when you compare it to just how monumentally good the 3.2 is. My real issue seems to be though that looking for a decent V6 seems to be a bit tricky, as all the ones I've seen so far have been a little below par, and that I'd be looking at getting rid of a 1 year old car for something that would have to be about 5 years old.
Is it really as insane as it sounds?
Given that the Mito was bought on a PCP, I'm also getting to the point where I could pay off the finance on the Mito or just simply buy a 5 year old GT V6 outright for what it'd cost...
