Engine Management Light on
Hiya, I changed my thermostat earlier today, with the help of the guide here, thanks very much, it worked a treat!
However, before connecting the air pipes back on afterwards I noticed the throttle body (circle thing with a flap thing inside it) seemed a bit dirty so I started the engine and gave it a few blasts of spray cleaner (wynns carb and air intake cleaner).
There was a sensor coming out of the top of the big air pipe (MAF?) which I had to disconnect in order to take the pipe out to allow access to the thermostat. This sensor was obviously not connected at the time of me spraying my spray so I noticed that the engine management light had came on.
I turned the engine off and re-connected the air pipes and the sensor etc..
The engine management light on the dash stayed on the whole time I was driving around the block and back. Will it eventually notice that that sensor is actually re-connected again and turn itself off? Or do I need to do anything?
