i would like to make a little recap
i have bought a beautiful 156 2.5 v6 last august
after a week (even know i had a fsh) the engine died due to previous owner using car low on oil
got a new second hand engine (90000 miles good runner)
i also have replaced all this parts:
cambelt and tensioners
also i have spent a bit of money on brakes and a new engine mount but thats not the issue.
engine was then putted in and was missfiring badly...
spark plugs were ok and fault was found on a inlet manifold gasket badly fitted that was obstructin injector...
also compression was checked on all 6 cilinders and was good
we also noticed one cilinder was wet of fuel like there was not spark
we checked coil packs and everything was good
another set of injectors was fitted but injector light on dash still on!!!!
ecu and throttle body reset was performed, and at low revs car was smoother but ddnt want to rev after 5000 rpm, missfire at low revs is gone!!!
injector light is still on and everybody pointed out maf maybe faulty??
at this point i managed to download fiat ecu scan and read the fault code, because maf is an expensive item and i ddnt want to change it if it was ok
the only fault that would come up was camshaft sensor...
a brand new camshaft sensor was installed but i could not clear code as my laptop was not working...fed up with it my mate took car for mot to see how it would perform...
please note that on way there rev wont go above 4000 rpm?!?!
to the surprise of everybody car passed mot with no problem!!
but is still not running properly and im going mad!!!!
the mot guy sayd that car is running weak, like there is not enough fuel going in?!?!
i have just purchased a license to use fiat ecu scan fully but i have been busy with work and car is at my mates house so i have not been able to use it yet...
anyone had same problems before???
any idea what could be problem???
at moment injector light is still on and car wont rev above 4000 rpm on the move
any help please!!!!
