Steering wheel and gear knob cleaning

Does anyone know how to get rid of the polished look on leather steering wheel and gear knob. Bring it back to matt look like new car. I believe it's created by hand sweat. I've tried leather cleaner and saddle soap but doesn't work.

Not sure Abyss, I think it's going to be difficult as leather naturally wear over time. You can always buy a new gear knob that's not made of leather.

I used a small amount of CD player cleaner fluid.
Worked a treat.

I'd test it out on a small area first though.

Soap flakes (tesco's etc, detergent area) and a cloth -

as says in manual for all leather in the car!
