I have a 2003 internal facelift 156 Sportwagon
I've had a look at some other posts on here and it seems a few people have had the problem I have just had trying to replace my front Grill Badge.
I ordered a new badge as mine had faded and received the standard solid badge with two locating pins Great service from "Auto Lusso" via ebay.
When I removed my old badge I found it was as thin as a coke can
and when the new badge was fitted it stood proud of the grill, Not looking very good at all.
After phone calls and a visit to the Alfa main dealer I was told no other badge was available.
So I ordered an second hand grill again from Auto Lusso and the supplied replacement badge fits a treat
The problem seems to be that my Chrome Grill has a bulge where the badge sits compared to the Second hand one, which seems to be the most common.
The confusing part is that both chrome trims have the same part number even though they are different mouldings
1st picture - Second hand Grill - Part No=60620928 - Date of Manufacture May 2001
2nd picture - My original Grill - Part No=60620928 - Date of Manufacture January 2003
3rd picture - Old & New Badges - Part No=60596492/3
4th picture - My original Badge - No part number visible.
Does anyone know if the thin badge for my original grill is available and if so the part number.
As at the moment I have a perfectly good grill without badge sat on the shelf in the garage
