I've had a facelift 147 with the 3-hole 17 supersport wheels since September '09. The car looks great, but I always thought the wheels look a tad small. They don't fill all the space that seems to be available. Sorry if I don't use more proper technical terms - I know them better in my native language.
From the moment I first saw the Ducati Corse edition in pictures online, I thought the wheels were great. And now, one lucky git, I mean esteemed fellow alfista
, at work got a Ducati Corse in red, and those wheels with the lovely red perimeter are right in my face saying: "look at us, don't we look great!?" It's kind of like a light torture. I'm glad that car does not exist in petrol guise, because I would have to buy one tomorrow. The whole car looks great.
Anyway, back to the wheels. I'm sure they'd cost me an arm and a leg, and maybe I should save the money for the Brera S fund, but do you know if there's any reason why Alfa Romeo wouldn't sell them to me (I dunno, the Ducati Corse is a special version, after all). Do you have a rough idea how much they could cost (this is only my first car worthy of the name, and I've never looked at any mods whatsoever).
Almost forgot to ask, do they fit? Any probs you can see?
Also, I would have to tell the insurance company of this modification, right? Would they charge me (a lot) more just for having great wheels?
Thanks for helping a rookie alfista!
