Ok, here we are again a week later.
We replaced the accumulator with a new one and the warning went away. The old accumulator was full of oil.
Now the pump works for 5-7 seconds and stops as it should. The gear changes are much smoother and when i come to a stop it doesn't drops to neutral, so that's great.
For 2 days i was the happiest guy around until today....
On the way back home and after sitting in traffic for 20 - 30 minutes the sele warning light came up again and I wasn't able to change from 2nd to 3rd. That lasted roughly 1 sec. and on a 2nd attemp to change gear the warning went away and I was able to change gear. 50 meters down the road the same thing.
Once i reached the motorway and the car got cooler that didn't happen again.
So my car is not to be driven in traffic....
What else should i change?
I'm starting to think that the best option if you are a selespeed owner and you wanna keep your car and you start having issues with the selespeed system is to replace the actuator and pump all together than trying to solve each small issue alone. It is going to be more economical and reliable at the end. I believe all together parts, labour and calls to the tow track would equalise the price of a new actuator minus the stress and nerves I have gone through the last 2 years.
