Alfa 147 - Spark Plugs

Hi there.
Thanks in advance for any advice you chaps can give me!

At the last service, the mechanic advised me that at 100,000 km I would be ready for a plug change. He mentioned that I should replace with the special long-life Alfa plugs. They'd last another 100,000 km. I was shocked by the price. Around 40 Euros plus VAT EACH!

Are these plugs really worth the expense or should I look for a cheaper alternative?

Yep that sounds about right for a spark plug change if they have lasted that long. Some don't and some go on even longer. Normal ones should last just as long. I'd get what ever is already in there as they have done the job fine.

40Euros each is a bit high though...!!

They are NGK plugs.

Shop around. They are available for a lot less than that.

Like here for instance:-

They don't list p&p to Spain but I'm sure if you contacted them they would be able to come to an arrangement.

If not, do you have a contact in the UK who could receive the plugs and then send them onto you?
