Afa badge on bootlid.
I had asked around in Alfa garages about how much to replace said badge and was quoted from EUR 120 to EUR150l, so had kinda resigned myself to leave it as it was.
However I had to bring it into a specialist on Friday to check out the front suspension, which I though might be shot. Car seemed to be pulling a bit left, and making a few too many complaints going over bumps. As an after thought I asked if he could also do the badge.
Left the car with him all day. Called in after 6 and he had the 156 up on the ramp examining it. Could not see any major problems. Some small signs of wear, nothing strange for a 4 yr, old car. Then did the badge while I was there. It only took about 5 mins, and he only charged me EUR 50 for the lot. He is a really nice chap into the bargain, and some of the cars he is working on are absolutely beautiful. He had a lovely widebody 155, a beautiful 1990 Spider, another really old Spider and what I think was an Alfetta. Also had a LanciaThema up on a ramp with the engine stripped out.
