156 Air Bag Lights on - Where to go for parts?

hey everybody!

Just wondering if anybody knows where I can get a used ECU for the airbag system?

I took my car to the ***** garage in Royston, and the guys there, gave me some part numbers:
Alfa ecu airbg part.jpg Thing is that i put this image of the note the guys wrote becuase i cant make out if the top number ends in 1 or i ?

I know one of these numbers refers to a Fiat part and the other an alfa (obviously)

many thanks in advance if someone can steer me in the right direction

I assume all airbag connections etc have been checked? - Have you had a diagnostic done? The ECU may not be where the fault lies

L1 shows possibility of switching the passenger airbag off. I take it the diagnostic is indicating a faulty ecu for you to think you need an ecu. It just might be something like a poor connection under the seat as 0of0 says. There are airbag ecus on eBay at the moment. 2F = two airbags, 2P = two pre-tensioners. 606..... number is the part number.

ePer confirmation

The number is the part number of the ECU, as eper says.
Data is from a 2005 DVD, so it might - mostly - have changed.

Hope this helps.

Alfa Romeo 156

The guys at alfa in royston... (recommended by AO on previous thread)
hooked up the ECU to computer diagnostic kit (i was present) they tried several times to reset it but ECU wasn't responding at all... they explained that there were many variations of this ECU and those part numbers were the correct ones for the cars configuration.... so armoore that makes sense - thanks.
To the other guys here i personally havn't checked the passenger cables under seat but surely if the computer says 'no' then surely its the ECU? Is it possible that dodgy wires could send message to computer saying that ECU is not responding? Thanks all. (I'll check out all those places to get used parts)
