GT 1.9 60k service

Good morning folks,

mrs cyrus is picking up her new car tmrw morning, a 2006 gt 1.9 TD. the car was serviced at 50,000 miles and is at 58k now, so will due its 60k service before the end of the year,

so what im wondering is the 60k service a major one, what should i expect to be done and what should it cost?

The car has had a new clutch, front wish bones and passenger side drive shaft bearing under warranty over the past couple of years so those components are reasonably fresh

also i havent had time to check but what engine oil is recommended and does the 1.9 use oil like the tsparks do (my old 156 1.8 was fond of a drop!)

Check if the belts and waterpump have been done, as they are due "offically" at 5 years 72k miles but most are getting them done at 4 years 60k miles (read the sticky at the top of this forum) so your 60k may turn into a major one (which is probably why the previous owner sold it).

The diesels are not oil-oholics like tsparks (mine uses very little between services i.e. less than 250mls for 12k miles), but with all vehicles that are new to you it is worth checking regularly over the first few months so that you can build up a picture of how it performs.
