What a bargain !!

Just purchased a 2.0 147 (02) with only 190,000 on the clock, cambelt has never been changed but the seller told me that it will be fine as its only a rubber belt and can be easily repaired using some old tights/stockings.

Checked the oil level first as advised on here and no oil showed on dipstick, seller again convinced me all is fine as the dipstick is just faulty and needs a new one (phew i was just about to walk away)

On the dash, all lights are illuminated such as Airbag,ABS,Motor Control,Etc when engine is running, seller says this is normal and if/when a fault occurs the lights will go off.

Engine sounds slightly like a dumper truck with a strange loud knocking, again seller tells me this is fine and its because he recently fitted a new starter motor and its just running in.

Just loving it and cant believe i have a Trouble free Alfa

Makes me wonder how many Alfas are about owned by people who don't really give a toss about checking oil/maintenance etc. and how long they can get away with it before something goes really badly wrong
