v6 cambelt change waterpump??
my v6 gtv is soon due for cambelt, well on the cautious side of due anyway, i have an x alfa mechanic friend so labour is free just the parts to buy, im doing the tensioner and idlers with the belt my question is waterpump, should i do it? i know its reccommended but whats the chances of a problem and what does it do if the pump fails? ie will it cause the belt to slip or is it reccommended due to the amount of work to replace the pump? obviously i could ask my friend but i know he'll give me the main dealer theory and not the cost effective one
