Master Cylinder to ABS Module Brake Pipe Failure
Last week I lost braking due to a slight hole in the pipe that runs from the Master cylinder to the ABS unit.
2 pipes run from the master cylinder to the ABS unit and they appeared to have been rubbing against one another. Hole is JUST about visible to the eye when the pipe is taken off. You would have never seen it otherwise as sits right up against bulkhead!!
Very dangerous and pricey.
£100 for new pipe as Alfa only part.
Was contemplating making up my own pipe for like £10 but the pipe has slightly bigger diameter then standard brake pipes and also has two short flexes. Not sure if using standard brake piping would effect pressure to ABS unit???
Anyones needed car asap so just spent the cash.
Anyone else heard/experienced this???
