I would avoid Donald Mackenzie in Inverness. I had the misfortune of letting them carry out warranty work on my 20V wagon. There was no air coming out of the top vent so rather than fixing the flap that was stuck they replaced the entire heater box. I delivered the car to them and they returned it to the ferry (Ullapool) at my expense.
Unfortunately I did not see the car until I picked it up at the ferry terminal.....
All of the bits of plastic that they had managed to break removing the old heater box were lying in the footwell!
Both A-pillers were covered in greasy finger marks!
The headlining had boot prints!
A tool had slipped when removing either the radio or the heater controls resulting in a big, deep arc-shaped scratch across the silver part of the heater controls.
This was on a two year old "top of the range" Sportwagon with 30K miles!
I had to pay to put the car back on the ferry (£130 return) and drive it to Inverness for a new panel. The only thing I got out of Donald Mackenzie's was that I did not have to pay them to drive my car back to the ferry! No apology or anything
Unfortunately I decided that I could not afford to make an official complaint to Alfa as my local Citroen service agent has a deal with Mackenzies to supply parts and tools for work on Alfas and Fiats...... and I might end up needing help sometime in the future
