Timing belt change, DIY or not ??

Thanks to this site I have started to work on my car myself but all this was all quite basic, I am now thinking of changing my timing belt myself with the help of this site with step by step instructions.

Is this a good idea or would it be best if I get the work done by a professional. I have been quoted for the labour at £155.00 and around a further £80.00 for the kit.

What tools would I need if I do decide to do the job myself and how easy would it be for things to go wrong as this will be my first timing belt change..??

Really appriciate your suggestions

It's not a hard job, but need quite a few tools to do it properly.

This is a good guide: The cam variator
